About Adap
Adap is a private companion you can talk to when your head is loud. You say what is going on, in whatever shape it comes out at midnight, and it works out what would help. Sometimes that is being heard. Sometimes it is two minutes of breathing before you say another word. The first version can offer five things, all of them for right now rather than someday: breathing, grounding, reframing, a brain dump, and a quick check-in.
It is not therapy, medical care, or a crisis service, and it is not being built to replace them. If you are in crisis or thinking about harming yourself, please reach a person now: in the Netherlands call 113 (113.nl), and elsewhere in the EU call 112.
The reason it exists is the third kind of app in this category, the free one whose real business is knowing that you were anxious at 2am on a Tuesday. Conversations here are never used to train models, never sold, and never turned into an advertising profile. You can export your memory in an open format and delete it at any time. The architecture enforces that; a policy would only describe it.
Adap runs in the EU under the GDPR. This page sets no cookies and makes no third-party requests, which you can check in your browser's network tab. It is in private preview, inviting the first hundred people: the core conversation and the five tools work, and the mobile app is in progress. The decisions and the trade-offs behind it get written up on the blog as they are made.
Who operates Adap
