Terms of Service

These terms apply to adap.app and the early Adap service, provided by blackplate, asole proprietorship (eenmanszaak), registered in the Netherlands. See thelegal notice. By using the site or service, you agree to these terms.

What Adap is

Adap is a private mental-health companion in private preview. It may offer conversation, breathing, grounding, reframing, brain dump, and check-in tools.

Not medical care or crisis support

Adap is not therapy, medical care, diagnosis, treatment, emergency support, or a replacement for a therapist, doctor, medication, or crisis service. If you are in immediate danger, call emergency services. In the EU, call 112.

Private preview

Adap is pre-launch software. Features may be incomplete, unavailable, changed, rate-limited, or discontinued. Early access does not guarantee permanent access, a launch date, or a finished product.

Your responsibilities

• Use Adap only if you are legally allowed to do so.
• Do not misuse, disrupt, reverse engineer, scrape, or overload the service.
• Do not use Adap to harm yourself or others, or to make decisions requiring professional medical, legal, financial, or safety advice.
• Keep any account credentials secure.

Email updates and founding members

If you join an email list, you consent to receive the requested updates. You can unsubscribe at any time. Founding-member details, payment terms, refunds, and launch access will be provided before any payment is taken.

Content and data

You keep ownership of what you submit. You give Adap the limited permission needed to operate, secure, and improve the service for you. Adap's handling of personal data is described in thePrivacy Policy.

Availability

The service is provided on an as-available basis. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, error-free operation, or that Adap will meet every need.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Adap is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, profits, goodwill, or business opportunities.

Changes

We may update these terms as the service changes. Material changes will be reflected on this page by updating the effective date.
